CONFERENCE REPORT OF BIOST & WHG 2023

The 3rd World Biological Science and Technology Conference (BioST-2023) and 1st Conference on World Women’s Health and Gynecology (WHG-2023), which took place on Aug. 2nd - 4th at Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay in Japan in a hybrid format has come to an end.

The two conferences were hosted by LMSII, and operated by Amazing Congress Co. LTD and VOW Congress Inc. There were 100+ renowned guests from 27 countries who gave moving speeches, such as Dr. Victor Klimyuk, Managing Director of Icon Genetics GmbH in Germany; Dr. Tudor Arvinte, CEO of Therapeomic Inc. in Switzerland; Dr. Hans Rudolf Pfaendler, Professor of Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich in Germany; Dr. Gang Bao, Foyt Family Professor of Rice University in USA; Dr. Paul M. Harrison, Professor of McGill University in Canada; Dr. Michael R. Lebens, Senior Research Scientist of University of Gothenburg in Sweden; Dr. Kenan Bozhuyuk, CSO and Co-founder of Myria Biosciences AG in Switzerland; Dr. Keqiang Xie, Vice President and Head of Research and Development in Full Circles Therapeutics in USA; Dr. Chien-Chung Tsai, Co-Founder & CTO of AcuSolutions Inc. in Taiwan from BioST and Dr. Steven M. Donn, Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics in University of Michigan Medical School in USA; Dr. Lillie D. Shockney, University Distinguished Service Professor of Breast Cancer in Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in USA; Dr. John M. Baust, President and CEO of CPSI Biotech in USA; Dr. Laszlo Tabar, Professor Emeritus of University of Uppsala in Sweden; Dr. Ting Bao, Co-Director of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in USA; Dr. Steven R. Lindheim, Clinical Professor of University of Central Florida and Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in USA; Dr. Jean Golding, Emeritus Professor of University of Bristol in UK; Dr. Linda K. Han, Adjunct Professor of Clinical Surgery in Indiana University School of Medicine in USA; Dr. Harvey Ward, Associate Professor of Womens Reproductive Care in Australia; Dr. Craig Kukard, Director of Cancer Services in University of Newcastle in Australia from WHG.

There were 12 sessions in BioST-2023, including “Bioinformatics, Biostatistics and Models”, “Viruses and Infectious Diseases”, “Advances in Biomedicine”, “Advances in Biotechnology and Bioengineering”, “Advances in Protein, Peptide and Proteomics Research”, “Technology and Devices for Biology Analysis”, “Cell and Stem Cell”, “Molecular Genetics and Diagnosis of Cancer”, “Medical Imaging: Diagnosis, Monitoring and Treatment”, “Biomaterials and Biopolymers” as well as 8 sessions in WHG-2023 including “Miscarriage and Abortion”, “Labour and Delivery”, “Breast Cancer and Gynaecologic Oncology”, “Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Neonatal Care”, “Uterine Disease and Disorders”, “Reproduction and Assisted Reproduction”, “Women Health and Care” are some of the topics covered.

In addition, 12 posters have been presented on-site. The special event of Best Poster Award was held successfully which was selected by voting of all the participants in person. The winner is Dr. Yong Mei Chen, Full Professor of Shaanxi University of Science & Technology in China. And the poster title is “Sequential and Controlled Release of Proteins Based on Injectable Self-Healing Nanocomposite Hydrogel”. During the conference, all participants had in-depth discussions and communications exchanged positive experiences and practices, as well as spurred new ideas and opinions. Conferences such as BioST-2023 and WHG-2023 are a valuable way to discuss ideas and explore new research and techniques. It also aids in the development of fresh ideas for ongoing research. As a result, more collaboration and network building are encouraged. In the near future, we have more exciting conferences coming up, for example, BioST-2024 and WHG-2024, which will take place in Macao (China) on next Aug. 6th-8th, 2024.
